Chris Holmes – Managing Consultant and Strategist
Chris is passionate about working collegiately and brings to the table contemporary strategic and operational advice on Information Governance, Information Audit, Records Management, Archives Management, Business Transformation, Process Mapping, Business Analysis, Information Security, Records Management Systems implementation and Information Project Management.
Chris is qualified in all Galleries and Museum Management, Archive/Records/Information Management, Information Security, Librarianship, and Project Management disciplines (GLAMR) – and has worked across the GLAMR sectors since 2001, gleaning across four states, in all levels of government, private enterprise, education, Not-for-Profit and community sectors.
As an active practitioner and advocate in the Records, Information and Archives Communities, she represents the industry and practitioners through various peak industry bodies such as the Records and Information Management Professionals Australasia (RIMPA), the Australian Society of Archivists (ASA), and the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).
Chris has also been a guest and sessional academic at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) and Charles Stuart University (CSU).
As a trainer, and member of the RIMPA training team, and for a period the Acting RTO Manager for RIMPA, Chris facilitates and presents various training courses relating to information and records management with a specific focus on the practitioner and putting the theory into practice through example and experience.
Between the Stacks was created in 2019 to provide bespoke solutions to information needs across all sectors, and is based in Melbourne.
